Swapan Dasgupta
Introduction
Well-known journalist and political commentator Swapan Dasgupta has worked for many leading Indian publications, including The Times of India, Indian Express and the India Today. He is a member of the Rajya Sabha and the BJP. He is an alumnus of St Stephens College and the Universities of London and Oxford he was conferred the Padma Bhushan in 2015.
His books include: Awakening Bharat Mata: the political beliefs of the Indian Right.
He has been viewed as a vocal exponent of exploiting English as a tool in reaching out to the masses.
