- Seema Verma is an engineer by profession (B.E & M.Tech) and has retired from aviation where she was training pilots on Airbus and Boeing
- She is the recipient of the National Swachchta Award presented at Vigyan Bhawan at a function where honourable
prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi was the Chief Guest, for her project on waste management where she as president of Defence Wives Welfare association headed the project and made Andaman and Nicobar command reduce the waste going to landfill drastically.
- She is now fully involved with her NGO for empowering rural areas called Saksham ,working in the fields of Skill Development, Education, Health, Environment & Rural Tourism.
