An NFT (Non-Fungible Token) is a unit of data stored on a blockchain, which can be associated with any particular digital or physical asset (such as a file or a physical object). NFTs, as compared to its digital counterpart that is stored on any cloud server enable true ownership and certificate of authenticity of the content.

The society has also introduced an interesting use case of NFTs for the first time in India. This is going to take place at the festival in the form of an auction of a collaborative artwork which will be turned into an NFT. The event will be graced by Padmashree Bhajju Shyam and Deepa Shyam where they will paint this collaborative artwork live during the 3-day festival. This NFT then becomes a seal of authenticity of the physical artwork for its owner. Through the NFT auction we increase the outreach of the digital artwork to the discerning audience in a verifiable manner.
