Jayshree M Sundar

Introduction

A gold medallist from University of Mumbai, and an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies Jayshree went on to spend 17 years at Lintas where she was known for her work with clients like Cadburys, Maruti Suzuki, ICI, Gillette, Parker, Xerox Ponds, Government Businesses and many more. She was Sr Associate Director and Executive Board member at the end of her tenure there and went on to join Leo Burnett as President North, for the next five years. She has transitioned to the world of academics and teaches Marketing courses at leading Business schools all over India. 

  • Known for her infamously good new business record, some of her favourite moments at Leo Burnett included winning the National campaign that brought the Congress to power in 2004 (The Aam Aadmi Campaign), and businesses like Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Aircel, Tetra Pak etc. 
  • Jayshree is obsessed with latest consumer trends, the world of movies and political news. She enjoys writing, and travel. 
  • She is an avid observer of people and loves all forms of communication. And has some popular social media hashtags. 
  • She has been a trainer in both her companies. 
  • In her tenure at both agencies, she and her teams won a number of Creative and Strategic awards. 
  • She has also done a course in Brand Equity at The Wharton Business School. 
  • She has taught at IIM Shillong, IIM Jammu, Fore School of Management, School of Inspired leadership (SOIL), NIIT Imperia, Amity school of communications, Times School of Marketing, Great Lakes Institute of Management Chennai and Manesar, and afew others including Management Development Programs. 

Jayshree is an author of three books. “Dolly’s table” and two bestsellers “The Tambram’s recipes” and Don’t forget 2004.Advertising secrets of an impossible election victory
