Dr Meenakshi Pawha retired as a professor at the Department of English and Modern European Languages, University of Lucknow. She has published two books and several research papers. She is the recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship -at New York University, Mellon Fellow at Harvard University and British Council’s Charles Wallace India Trust Fellow at Cambridge. She is the author of two books, and her translations of short stories and essays in literary criticism have been published in prestigious literary journals. Forthcoming is her translation of a Hindi play Godse@Gandhi.com (Vani Prakashan).

Dr Pawha is a theatre enthusiast, voracious reader, avid traveller, and cinephile. She enjoys listening to music in any form and is passionate about India's rich cultural heritage, especially its performing arts and textiles.
