Dr. Madan Oberoi, a former Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 1992 batch (AGMUT Cadre), transitioned to the private sector in 2025 as Director of Strategic Engagements and Chief Cyber Security Advisor for the APAC Region at Google Cloud, following more than 33 years of distinguished service in national and international law enforcement. He previously served as INTERPOL's Executive Director, leading technology and innovation globally. He holds a PhD in Cyber Security from IIT Delhi and completed post-doctoral research as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Washington. Earlier in his career, Dr. Oberoi served as Advisor (ICT) to the Ministry of Home Affairs (Government of India), Founding Director General of I4C, Founding Director of INTERPOL's Cybercrime Directorate, and held several other senior positions within the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Delhi Police. He is also Distinguished Professor (Practice) in the Department of Information Technology at Delhi Technological University, and also at the National Forensics Science University (NFSU).
