Ambassador C Rajasekhar, IFS 1990 batch currently Heads the portfolio of States at the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
He has studied Law (Gold Medal), Commerce and Personnel Management, currently pursuing Ph.D. in Law.
He speaks Japanese fluently. He has specialised in the Orient, having served in Korea, Japan, Mongolia and as Director (East Asia) at the Headquarters. He has earlier served as Ambassador in Havana, Minister in London and the Director General of ICCR, Indian Council of Cultural Relations. DG ICCR is the cultural ambassador to the world.
His current mandate is to facilitate greater engagement of various States and Union Territories of India with the world.
