Jamshed is a writer, poet and a former civil servant. Was Member, Central administrative Tribunal last couple of years after retiring as Member Railway Board.

Writing is his passion . His poetry, whether in the form of Nazm, Ghazal or Haiku , largely talks about our day today pleasures and pains arising out of our very existence. His poetry transcends boundaries of relationships and travels beyond its meaninglessness. He writes of the immortal love and redemption and hope and sufferings and all that is in between.

His recently published book of 1000 Haiku poems covers many more subjects revolving around our lives lived the way it does.
