Introduction

Vaibhav Purandare is a writer and independent historian. His latest book is Shivaji: India’s Great Warrior King, published by Juggernaut Books. His other bestselling books are Hitler And India: The Untold Story of His Hatred For The Country And Its People, Savarkar: The True Story of the Father of Hindutva, Bal Thackeray and the Rise of the Shiv Sena, and Sachin Tendulkar: A Definitive Biography. He works as a senior editor with The Times of India, and his writings have been published by the BBC, the Independent (UK), The Indian Express and Hindustan Times, among other publications.
