Shashank Mani is a visionary Member of Parliament from the Deoria constituency in Uttar Pradesh, representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2004. He currently serves as the BJP’s whip and is a member of the prestigious Standing Committee on Defence as well as the Consultative Committee for Finance, reflecting his deep commitment to India's security and strategic growth. Shashank also holds the position of National Niti Pramukh of the Swavalambi Bharat Abhiyan, a significant initiative by the Sangh to promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship across India.

Shashank’s tenure in politics is marked by impactful grassroots initiatives, including the Jan Bhagidari Yatra in October 2022, covering 500 villages to directly engage with constituents. Under his leadership, a 3,000-square-foot Jan Sampark Karyalay was established in Deoria to ensure effective public outreach. He actively collaborates with BJP’s state and regional units, significantly enhancing voter engagement and party strategies.

Shashank Mani is a prominent leader and social innovator from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh. Recognized globally for his pioneering efforts in rural entrepreneurship, he is the founder of the Jagriti Yatra and the Jagriti Enterprise Center—Purvanchal (JECP), initiatives that have transformed the socio-economic landscape of rural India. 

Shashank is the visionary founder of the Jagriti Yatra (w- ww.jagritiyatra.com ), the world's largest entrepreneurial train journey that has inspired over 8,000 young leaders and social  entrepreneurs across India for over 16 years. Through this initiative, Shashank aims to foster a new generation of change-makers dedicated to nation-building and sustainable development. In addition, he established the Jagriti Enterprise Center—Purvanchal (JECP) (www.jecp.in ) in Deoria, a unique rural innovation hub dedicated to nurturing local entrepreneurship. The centre operates offices in Kushinagar and Gorakhpur and plans to expand to seven more districts in the Goraksha Prant region. In 2023, the Jagriti Yatra gained international prominence by collaborating with the G20 Startup 20, drawing global participation and recognition.

An alumnus of IIT Delhi (B.Tech) and IMD Lausanne (MBA Hons), Shashank Mani began his career with Schlumberger before advancing to Senior Partner at PwC. There, he spearheaded key initiatives like the $5 Trillion Economy Committee, Mission Karmayogi, and the National Space Strategy. His contributions to social service have earned him the IIT Delhi Distinguished Alumni Award.
