Bharati Chaturvedi works in India on the cross-cutting issues of environment, climate change, poverty and consumption. She also engages on issues related to environmental cooperation within the global south.
A key path for her work is as the founder of an India based non-profit, Chintan, which means another way of thinking. Chintan’s key areas of work include waste and the circular society, air pollution and climate change.
Bharati has served on various government bodies to advice policy making, from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee to the MOEFCC. She serves on various boards, including as an independent director. She has a Masters degree in International Public Policy from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University. She is the editor of ‘Finding Delhi : Loss and Renewal in the Megacity,’ published by Penguin India. She is the host of the podcast, The Chintan Chats.
