Tultul Biswas is a lover of books, esp. children's books. After doing masters in Chemistry and Sociology she taught Science to middle school children in Bhopal. With Eklavya Foundation (www.eklavya.in) since 1991, she started as an Assistant Editor with Chakmak - Eklavya's flagship children's magazine; and then worked over 2 decades developing books. The thrust here was books that portrayed independent, thoughtful children with an agency of their own.
Presently engaged in designing co-learning opportunities for teachers and education activists to bring about lasting change in classroom practices, she is also part of the leadership team in Eklavya.
Tultul has been part of the Indian feminist movement and has a keen interest in folk and classical music of the subcontinent.
