Prof. Bhushan Patwardhan is a biomedical scientist, author and educationist. He served as Vice Chairman of UGC, Chairman of NAAC and Vice Chancellor of Symbiosis International University. At present he is Chancellor of Deccan College Post Graduate and Research Institute, National Research Professor (Ayush), Government of India, Distinguished Professor at Savitribai Phule Pune University, IIT Kharagpur, and Western Sydney University Australia. He is a member of the WHO STAG on Traditional Medicine. He is among the world's top 2% biomedical scientists with 18,000+ citations. He has authored Integrative Approaches for Health (Elsevier, 2015), Innovative Approaches to Drug Discovery (Elsevier, 2017). His non fiction book Genome to Om (BluOne Ink, 2024) has received global acclaim. His Knowledge for Kids series, aligned with NEP 2020, comprises Ayurveda for Kids and Yoga for Kids (Sakal Media, 2025, 2026) and Gaumata: Cow for Kids and for Everyone (Ink OCCAM, 2026).
