A graduate of the prestigious Film and TV Institute of India Pune, Pankaj Saxena is an awarded film maker, global traveller, published writer, cinema academic and lifelong student of screen arts. He has held senior positions at Discovery Channel, BBC Worldwide and Lok Sabha TV among others. All through his work life, Pankaj has made time to spread film education by contributing to prestigious film and media schools such as FTII Pune, SRFTI Kolkata, Asian College of Journalism Chennai and RV University Bengaluru. Pankaj enjoys spreading the joy of cinema by organizing film festivals, leading film appreciation programmes and conducting cinema-oriented conversations across India and the world. He is currently the Artistic Director at the National Film Development Corporation.
