Palak Kohli is a promising Indian para-badminton athlete from Jalandhar. She studied at St. Joseph's Convent School. Palak, who was born on August 12, 2002, quickly rose to prominence in the parabadminton community due to her remarkable talent and determination. She developed a passion for badminton at a young age and has since become one of the most inspiring athletes in the field. Kohli trains at the national training camp under Gaurav Khanna, the head coach of the Indian para-badminton team. Despite being born with an underdeveloped arm, Palak Kohli has not let this challenge hinder her pursuit of excellence in sports. Notably, she secured a bronze medal in women's singles and a silver medal in women's doubles at the Dubai Para-Badminton International in 2021. Her impressive performance has earned her recognition as one of India's top para-badminton players. Kohli is the only para-badminton athlete from the country to qualify for both singles and women's doubles for the Tokyo Paralympics 2021. In addition to her success in tournaments, Palak Kohli made history by qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics, making her one of the youngest athletes to represent India in parabadminton at the Paralympic Games. Her participation in the Paralympics has been a source of inspiration for many young athletes, especially those with disabilities, demonstrating that determination and hard work can overcome any obstacle.
