Neelum Saran Gour is a fiction writer in English with six novels, four short story collections, two books of non-fiction and a translation of her own book to her credit.She has been an active book reviewer and columnist.Her contribution is a body of work dedicated to the culture of her city, Allahabad.She retired from the University of Allahabad as Professor of English Literature.Her most recent novel, 'Requiem In Raga Janki', was awarded The Hindu Fiction Prize for 2018 and the Sahitya Akademi Award for 2023.
