Satya Mohanty, a former IAS officer is a poet, playwright, novelist and writer. He has worked as the Union Secretary of Education and Secretary General, National Human Rights Commission, he has regularly been contributing to a wide range of national newspapers. He was an Edward S. Mason Fellow at Harvard University and a visiting scholar in the Special Program for Urban and Regional Studies (SPURS)at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Post-retirement, he taught Economics as an Adjunct Professor at Jamia Milia Islamia and Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. He is fiercely proud of his role as a public communicator.
