Dr Sajjan Yadav is an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He is currently posted as Additional Secretary in the Union Ministry of Finance. Past assignments include Mission Director, POSHAN Abhiyaan, Government of India, Chief Secretary Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu and  Commissioner VAT Government of Delhi.

He is the author of two national best seller books- India’s Vaccine Growth Story: From Cowpox to Vaccine Maitry and Scaling Mount UPSC: Inspiring Stories of Young IAS Officers. Both the books have been translated and published in more than 10 languages. Also authored an illustrated children’s book “Cowasjee’s New Nose”.  Published many research papers in peer reviewed high impact international journals.

He holds a Doctorate in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Masters in Public Administration from University of Minnesota, USA.

He is also the recipient of National Award for e-Governance and President of India’s Silver Medal for outstanding work in the Census Operations.
