Prof. Vinita Dhondiyal Bhatnagar is an acclaimed author, scholar, and storyteller. She graduated from Lady Shri Ram College, did her post graduation at St. Stephens College and has over three decades of an illustrious career spanning academia, storytelling, and creative writing. She was a Visiting Professor at the Centre For Feminist Research at York University,
As a storyteller she is particularly proud of her work on the Ramayana at the Federation of Asian Storytellers (FEAST) and her explorations of folk traditions in her native Garhwal. She is currently engaged in telling the story of Jayadev’s Gita Govinda.
As an academician she has books, monologues and articles to her credit and won the Best Paper award at City University, London. Her range of academic interests spans women's studies, post colonial literature, theatre, film and storytelling.
