Brajesh Rajput is the Editor-in-Chief of Vistaar News Channel, broadcasted from Bhopal. With over three decades of experience in journalism, he has worked extensively in television and print media. Before joining Vistaar News, he served as the Bhopal Bureau Chief for ABP News Channel for 20 years. During this tenure, he received nearly all prestigious awards in television reporting. In 2018, he was honored with the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Award by the Indian Express Group for his investigative journalism. He also won the Red Ink Award by the Mumbai Press Club in 2013 and the ENBA Award by Exchange4Media consecutively from 2020 to 2023 for his reporting.
Brajesh completed his Ph.D. in 2017 from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication in Bhopal, focusing on Content Analysis in Television Media. Alongside his career in TV journalism, he is an active writer and has authored six books. His works include Chunav Rajneeti aur Reporting, based on the 2013 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, and Chunav Hai Badlav Ka, centered on the 2018 elections. His book Off the Screen, featuring stories of TV reporting, won the Madhya Pradesh Sahitya Akademi Award. Another notable book, Off the Camera, focuses on TV journalism and has been widely appreciated. He also penned The Everest Girl, chronicling the life of Megha Parmar, the first woman from Madhya Pradesh to scale Mount Everest. The English translation of Off the Camera includes a foreword by Shashi Tharoor.
His latest book, Kaise Jeeti BJP ne MP (How BJP Won MP), is based on the 2023 Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections and is his third consecutive book on the state’s elections.
