Vedveer Arya is a senior officer in the Ministry of Defence. He is recognized for his expertise in chronology, history, archaeoastronomy, and Sanskrit studies. He has reconstructed the Vedic Yuga calendar, which spans from the Rigvedic era to the Mahabharata era, to establish the astronomical chronology of Indian civilization. His passion for epigraphic research has made him a meticulous researcher with profound insights into the chronological history of ancient India. He has conducted comprehensive studies of various ancient Indian epigraphs, critically evaluating the chronologies proposed by colonial historians and their followers.
He is the author of several books, including “The Chronology of India: From Manu to Mahabharata”, “The Chronology of India: From Mahabharata to Medieval Era” in two volumes. His upcoming book, scheduled for release in mid 2025, is titled “Chronology and Origins of Indo-European Civilizations.”
