Veena Raman , a graduate of Nagpur University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management, is a seasoned professional who retired as Deputy General Manager (Marketing) of Madhya Pradesh Tourism after 29 years of dedicated service. Renowned for her contributions to promoting tourism, she represented the Madhya Pradesh Government at prestigious international travel marts in Singapore, London, Dubai, Madrid, and Berlin, as well as numerous domestic events across India. An accomplished athlete, she represented India in Senior Women’s Hockey in 1975 and captained her school, college, and university teams in hockey, table tennis, basketball, and athletics. Her adventurous pursuits include white-water rafting, skiing, water-skiing, para-sailing, para-gliding, trekking, and archery. Post-retirement, she continues to make an impact by working with NGOs like the University Women’s Association Pune and Pune Women’s Council, focusing on the empowerment of women.
