Dr Prem Shankar Shukla

Introduction

Born on 16 March 1967 in Village Gopi (Suklana), Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh.
His poetry reflects images of sky, lakes, boats, and water, carrying a strong lyrical sensibility. From birth itself, his creative expression has been vibrant and alive. His work is marked by refined craftsmanship of words, linguistic discipline, and an original world of imagery.

He has published eight poetry collections, emerging from a distinctive and evocative poetic vision. Jeevan Nadi Bankim Pravah is a collection of river-centric poems, exploring the river as a living metaphor.

He has served as the Editor of the magazine “Purvagrah”, published by Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal. His literary achievements have been recognized with several honors, including the Raza Award, Dubla Kumar Smriti Samman, Vachan Sagar Samman, Amit Shilpi Samman, Apex Kavi Samman, and other national-level awards.

At present, he is serving as the Chief Administrative Officer at Bharat Bhavan, Bhopal.
