Kush Bhargava, a descendant of the illustrious Munshi Newal Kishore, founder of the iconic 19th-century Newal Kishore Press in Lucknow, has had a distinguished career spanning politics, sports, and the arts. Formerly the chairman of the UP State Congress Media Department and a two-term member of the All India Congress Committee (AICC), Bhargava eventually distanced himself from active politics. In sports administration, he served as vice president of the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India and is currently the president of the Uttar Pradesh Billiards and Snooker Association. Known for his philanthropic efforts, Bhargava has also held the honorary position of chief warden of Lucknow Civil Defence. On the creative front, he produced the telefilm *Kasak* (starring Deepti Naval) and the feature film *Monica* (starring Divya Dutta and Ashutosh Rana), both exploring themes of women's persecution. Additionally, Bhargava has contributed articles on international affairs to *The Times of India* and *The Pioneer*. Bed of Arrows is his second novel, following his debut work, *Dance of Destiny*.
