Dr. Sushil Trivedi, IAS (Retd.), is a distinguished administrator, scholar, writer, and cultural thinker. He served as District Magistrate and Collector in several districts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and later as State Election Commissioner of Chhattisgarh for six years (2002–2008). He was also a member of the three-member Delimitation Commission constituted by the Government of India for parliamentary and assembly constituencies.
A prolific writer since 1963, Dr. Trivedi has made enduring contributions to literature, culture, folk arts, media, constitutional studies, and public discourse. Over forty of his books have been published by leading national publishers and widely acclaimed for their depth, sensitivity, and cultural insight. He has served as Chairman of the Chhattisgarh District Gazetteer Committee and has been associated with several national academic and cultural bodies.
He is the long-time editor of Chhattisgarh Mitra, one of India’s most respected literary journals, and has been honoured by multiple institutions for his lifelong contributions to administration, education, and literature.
