In 2016, Asma took on the roles of publisher and editor for the magazine "Mumbai on Wheels," a monthly directory focused on the city of Mumbai. She considers this venture a milestone in her career. Poetry, for Asma, is a means of catharsis, and for introverts, she believes it is a powerful tool of self-expression. Her grandfather was the first to inspire her to write. She learned to write Urdu from him at a very young age, and her love for Urdu has only grown. Asma launched a merchandise brand 'I AM URDU' intending to promote the Urdu language among a wider audience. Her goal was to simplify Urdu, making it more accessible for people to understand, relate to, and use in their everyday lives. Asma has a master’s degree in journalism from Jamia Millia Islamia's AJK Mass Communication Research Center, New Delhi and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Saifia College, Barkatullah University, Bhopal.
