M. Jamshed is a poet, author and columnist . He is a former civil servant ( Member Central Administrative Tribunal ).
His two books of Poems have been published and widely acclaimed to be unique in their content and style. 
His book of Poems , “Siyahi” Is a collection of poems written in Devanagari script has poems on contemporary socio political issues concerning conflict resolution, women empowerment, existential crisis,complex relationships, migration , philosophy of existence, myth of sisiphus and of course the eternal love .
His second book is a mile stone in Hindi Haiku writing. This collection of 1000 Haiku poems in Hindustani cover day today questions and quests of human beings . It contains hundreds of themes and is a major experiment of writing Haiku in Hindustani language of common folks.

Siyahi was launched by Hon’ble Sri Rajnath Singh ji and Haiku was launched in International Centre New Delhi. Copies were presented to The Hon’ble President and Vice President of India.
These poems were also read at the Bhopal Litfest last year and at the mega Sahitya Academi programmme recently.
Mr Jamshed is currently finishing another book of poems in Hindi and the other of his English poems.
Mr Jamshed spends his time between Delhi and New York .
